Tech Camp 2012 Details
The highly successful Tech Camp for Teachers will hold its 13th annual event, July 23-26, 2012 on the IUPUI campus from 8:30 to 4:30 daily. Tech Camp offers teachers a chance to learn techniques in teaching the latest software and computer programming, as well as opportunities to discuss curriculum, assignments, teaching strategies, and level objectives. Tech Camp attendees get to meet with college professors and authors, to discuss collaborative projects, articulated credit, and college expectations.
This year we will have three tracks: Advanced Office, Mobile/Web Programming, Organizing your Adobe Course. Click here for a description of each track.New this year will be a half/day mix of Hot New Technologiesor Security!
There is plenty of time for teachers to talk in small, subject-interest groups as well. IUPUI sponsors a continental breakfast on Monday, lots of snacks, and presentations for teachers from around the state. Each day is a balanced mix of lecture, discussion, demonstration and lab time. Attendees receive free copies of the latest textbooks and trial software. Other positive byproducts of the week have been articulation agreements, part-time teaching opportunities, IUPUI web hosting for high school projects, and great camaraderie!

Workshop Format
The 4-day, $140 workshop includes lecture, hands-on lab practices, and assessment. Participants may choose 1 of three tracks.
Registration Details
Registration deadline is June 1, 2012. Enrollment is limited to 25 participants per class, approximately 75 total participants - so register early!
Cost
$140 for Tech Camp (includes all materials and continuing education credit)
$ 25 late fee after June 1
Credit Options
$800 per person for University credit (optional and approximate) (Must be admitted to IUPUI before May 1)
Housing
Rooms have been reserved at the Candlewood Suites. Mention that you are with Tech Camp when making your reservations. This cost is separate from the Tech Camp fee. You will pay the hotel directly.. You must make your reservation by June 30 at 317-345-5808.
